Kato Yosaburo(later Nikkai) was born in Kyoto on 1559 and became a pupil of Nichiren sect(Buddhist). He lived in Honinbo of Jyako-ji(temple) and studied the scripture and learned Go from Sen'ya.
Nikkai(later Sansa) is the founder of Honinbo family.
