Story 13
The dawn of Japanese Go....
I've heard Go had been introduced into Japan
from China via Korea before 1000 years or more.
There has been no documentary evidence of Go history.
However, following items show Go was a popular game between various stratum.
Taiho-rei(issued on AD 702); Any gambling or game, except Koto and Go, were prohibited to monk and nun, if violated a ban, then 100-day's physical labor should be penalized for.
A fable 'Golden pillow' of the Emperor Daigo vs. Kanren(Gosei, called at the time),
Go term and description; Makura-no-Soushi(by Seisyo-Nagon), Tale of Genji(by Murasaki-Shikibu) and so on.
F'm..., well, show you a game against Chitetsu.
In this game I tried Uchikoshi;W70 to 74 made a sacrifice of invading 5-stones(W60 to 68) to left side and W76 occupied an inportant point in lower side.
and Soto-mawari;W104 and W112 to 122 made Atsumi, then W126 to 130 could invade the center due to backing of it.
